I am a journalist, working on features and investigations on the boundaries between technology, the environment, business and society. I was WIRED's business editor in London, Rest of World's enterprise editor in Singapore and Nikkei Asia's cover story editor in Tokyo. I have reported from more than 40 countries, writing for publications including MIT Technology Review, Bloomberg Businessweek, The Economist 1843, The Atlantic and GQ.
My awards include a Society of Publishers in Asia award for excellence in technology reporting, a Fetisov International Journalism award for contribution to civil rights, and a British Society of Magazine Editors' award.
In 2025, Dust Money, a project I conceived and led, was an honoree in the Webby Awards for best multimedia storytelling and won the climate change category in the Online Journalism Awards. I was part of the Bloomberg team that won investigation of the year at the British Press Awards in 2026 for its work on Jeffrey Epstein's connections to the UK's political establishment.
