Migrant Voices

Competitors and previous winners of the Migrant Poetry Awards

In December 2018, the first ever Global Migrant Festival to be held in Singapore brought together leaders from migrant worker communities across Southeast Asia to share their experiences in societies that often rely on them, but give them no status, no voice and few legal rights.

The festival culminated in a poetry competition, where artists from migrant communities took to the stage in the country’s National Gallery to share their work.
